Rodrigo Coutinho is an experienced professional skilled in Global Affairs and Emerging Markets (especially Latin America and Brazil), Private Equity and Venture Capital, Management Consulting and M&A. His career is marked by a broad international experience, having developed projects in North, South and Central Americas, and in Europe.

During his career, Rodrigo has worked for an international investment bank (Banif), international management consulting firms—such as Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Global Atlantic Partners—and multinational corporations (Telmex and British American Tobacco).

Within investment banking, he has worked with corporate finance, M&A and private equity; within management consultancy, he has worked with, but not limited to, strategy, market entry strategy, restructuring, processes redesign, supply chain, cost-reductions, M&A and risk assessment; and, within multinational corporations, he has worked within the finance, marketing and strategic planning departments.

Rodrigo holds a BA in Business Administration from PUC-RJ and an MBA in International Relations from Cândido Mendes University and is currently a MS Candidate in Global Affairs from New York University. He is fluent in English and Portuguese, has advanced knowledge of Spanish and French, and basic knowledge of German and Italian.

His monograph Mergers and Acquisitions and Privatization Processes on the context of globalized economies was named the best monograph in business administration in Brazil in 1998 by APIMEC and was presented at the XV Congress of APIMEC, Belo Horizonte, Brazil, in 1998. His MBA thesis Globalization and its Consequences, Alternatives and Paths to Brazil was published by CEBRI (Brazilian Center for International Relations) in 2008. Besides, his paper Brazilian Women in Leadership Positions in Organizations: Career Development and Management Style, written with Maria Lúcia Rocha-Coutinho, was presented at the XXIX International Congress of Psychology, held in Berlin, in 2008, and he is the co-author, with Maria Lúcia Rocha-Coutinho, of the article Brazilian Women in Leadership Positions: New Perspectives for Old Challenges, published by Revista Economia Global e Gestão—INDEG, Portugal, April 2011.
